The service was commissioned in 2013 to meet the statutory requirements for Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) and IMCA DOLS . This contract ends 31 March 2016. Southend’s Integrated Commissioning Team is inviting expressions of interest to deliver its Mental Health and Aspergers Advocacy service between 1 April 2016 and 30 September 2016. The Service will give a provider valuable insight into the delivery of the statutory function while commissioners remodel Southend’s Healthwatch and Advocacy services which will run from 1 October 2016. The service will provide a professional advocacy service for adults with mental health conditions (inclusive of Mental Health, IMHA, IMCA & IMCA DOLS) as well as those who have Aspergers. The Service must provide support to these individuals to enable them to be heard.
