The three storey extension will be built using traditional form and materials at the side of the Town Hall on a south-west to north-east axis. The proposed extension will be separated from the south-east facing (side) elevation of the Town Hall but will be physically connected to the existing building with a largely transparent two storey glazed link: additionally the frontage of the extension will be set approximately 6 metres behind the Town Hall frontage. The Council has been granted both planning and listed building consent for the construction of this three storey linked extension. There is a fixed budget of £1.75M for this project.
