Additional FBB bandwidth has become essential to ship operation and the sighting of the satellite receiver for complete 360 degree coverage has become an issue. The current system is blocked by ships superstructure and by the other receivers in the vicinity. A solution is required to integrate a second antenna and automatically changeover between the two so as to obtain continuous coverage.
