The consultant will be required to provide an engineering design service to assess the feasibility, options and subsequently provide the detailed design for the construction of a bridge and bridge abutments with a design working life of 120 years and a service life of 25 plus years across the River Yare at Colney (co-ordinates 61796 307960). The consultant will also be required to undertake a flood risk assessment (FRA). The detailed plans and FRA will form part of a planning application to be submitted April 2016. The construction of the bridge would follow on from the planning permissions and any necessary site clearance work.
