This is reflected in better outcomes for individuals through the increased use of homeless prevention tools, the introduction of Halton Mainstay (a single point of access gateway), the near elimination of the use of B&B, and reduced reliance on temporary accommodation. Grangeway Court was developed by the Authority in the early 1990s to provide 'interim' and 'temporary' accommodation for homeless families whom the Authority believes may be homeless and have a priority need.
