In particular, to consider the spatial dimension of ecosystem services, both inshore and offshore, i.e. how marine ecosystem services generation is dependent upon the biotic or abiotic processes that occur across the matrix of different biotopes found in the United Kingdom’s marine environment. This is different to previous approaches which have mostly considered what ecosystem services are delivered by a particular habitat.
