The Department of Health and Social Care is responsible for running the Island's National Health Service, providing a Mental Health Service, acute care at Noble's Hospital and off-Island referrals to specialist centres of excellence in the North West of England; and care in the community setting such as GP services, community nursing and health centres. The aims of the review: - To provide an assessment to the Manx public, politicians and the Isle of Man Health Services of the quality of care provided to Manx patients. - To help providers of healthcare to fulfil their duty of quality. - To help drive improvements in quality and efficiency, and to spread innovation and good practice. - To identify areas where services are in need of improvement, with special reference to any areas in which there is an unacceptable risk to patient and/or staff safety. - To comment upon the sustainability, or otherwise, of services currently provided in the Isle of Man. The Contractor will enter into an agreement to conduct two reviews (7&8) in support of completing a suite of previously undertaken reviews.
