This is to be a showcase project delivering green heat into two of Southend’s iconic buildings and is to serve as a renewable energy education centre. The works will include: - Four number equally sized pellet biomass boilers totalling less than 999kW but more than 950kW mounted within a forty foot high cube container. - Pellet fuel store; a forty foot high cube container mounted on top of the pellet boiler container. - Self-supporting flue tower containing four individual flues incorporating the flow and return pipework to deliver heat into the plant room at the top of the Beecroft Gallery. - Two buffer vessels installed in a basement room close to the biomass cabin. - Approximately 150 meters of pre insulated pipework for underground use to supply the Central museum. - Plate heat exchangers, control valves, heat meters, pumps etc. - Full visualisation package for public awareness fed into Screens and web site. Remote meter reading and fuel level monitoring. - All civil work is to be included within the tender. Comprehensive drawings and a specification will be issued to contractors who express an interest and the works will be carried out under a JCT Contract. The tenders will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 65% for price and 35% for quality. Please submit your request to tender no later than 12 noon on 4th January 2016.
