The new facility will be located on the site of what is currently known as surface car park 12, adjacent to the recently completed multi-purpose sports pitch. The building contract will comprise a mix of single and two storey steel framed construction, curtain wall glazing, zinc cladding, block and render walls, full M&E fit out including connection of incoming and outgoing services, internal fit out including all fixtures and finishes, landscaping to the immediate vicinity, and coordination of client direct packages such as IT / AV and Furniture installation. The new Aston Student Union is required for operation in September 2017 and as such the completion date for works will be August 12th 2017.
