The overall aim is to provide a high quality, value for money, patient centred general dental service to the population of Throckley and surrounding area. The service will promote the importance of good oral health and provide general dental services for the relevant population. Services will be marketed to attract all sections of the population. The contracting authority will develop the service model to incorporate the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, specifically: • How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area. (Area is the geographic area for which the procurement is taking place) • How, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement. A bidder event will be held on Wednesday 09th December at 18:30hrs at NHS England Cumbria and North East Waterfront 4, Goldcrest Way, Newburn Riverside, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 8NY. Bidders will be provided with an overview of the aims and objectives of the new service and an overview of the tender documentation and procurement process. North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with potential providers.
