The recommendation included a programme to record and preserve the testimony of British Holocaust survivors and camp liberators. In order to take this work forward, the Prime Minister has created the United Kingdom Holocaust Memorial Foundation (UKHMF) as an arms's length body of the Department for Communities and Local Government(DCLG).
