The Firing Devices are used to initiate Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and controlled demolitions. The Firing Devices are used in both manual operations and Remote-Controlled Vehicle (RCV) operations across the EOD community. Therefore, a replacement contract is required to support the continued use of the equipment. The contract duration will be for a maximum period of 8 years, 4 years plus 4 x 1-year options.
