Kirklees Council has a portfolio of Extra Care schemes across the borough. This upcoming tender is in relation the 3 original schemes developed in Kirklees: Woodland Court in Dewsbury (46 flats, opened in 2013), Sandy Mount in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield (41 flats, opened in 2014), and Meadow Green in Heckmondwike (43 flats), which incorporates Meadow Green Lodge (10 flats for people living with dementia), opened in 2014. Together, these schemes provide 140 one and two-bedroom apartments for rent and form part of a wider housing, care and support model.
