[Procurement Act 2023, section 85](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2023/54/section/85) - Sets up a framework Winning a place does not guarantee work: contracts are awarded later as call-offs, and the list usually stays closed for years. - Open procedure Anyone can submit a full tender; there is no shortlisting stage. ## About this tender The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is seeking to engage the market to inform the development of a solution for the secure disposal of IT criminal exhibit digital media, including but not limited to mobile phones, hard drives, and USB storage devices. This pre-procurement activity is intended to assess supplier capability and capacity to deliver a service that meets the operational, security, and compliance requirements associated with handling sensitive evidential material. There is a need to establish a structured, scalable, and repeatable service model to support ongoing disposal activity of IT criminal exhibits. The anticipated requirement will include, but is not limited to the secure collection, transportation, and destruction of digital storage media, with a strong emphasis on data irretrievability and evidential integrity. ## CPV classification Computer equipment and supplies Computer-related services Refuse disposal and treatment Source Find a Tender (UK) · Notice ocds-h6vhtk-06d020-2026-10-06T09:20:27+01:00 [View official notice](https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/ocds-h6vhtk-06d020-2026-10-06T09:20:27+01:00) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
