Although sections of the roof were renewed in 2013 and solar panels added in 2016, further defects have since developed. A portion of the Council Chamber roof was repaired in January 2025 and is excluded from this tender. The Council is seeking a contractor to undertake remedial works across the remaining affected roof areas, including the removal and reinstatement of solar panels, disposal of existing Limpits, installation of Solar Slate Plates, replacement of damaged slates, and inspection and repair of membrane linings above active leaks.
