Both standard catalogue equipment and specialist equipment (including paediatric and bespoke items) must be managed in line with clinical safety standards, manufacturer guidance and statutory requirements. • A core principle of the service is value for money through a credit‑based reuse model. Equipment is actively recalled when no longer required, refurbished where appropriate, and returned to stock to minimise new purchases, reduce waste and maximise environmental sustainability. The new service model will have a greater emphasis on more active recall of items.
