Civils works will frequently be carried out in a "live" substation environment. Typically, but not exclusively, covering construction of new substations, construction of new buildings, modification or alteration to existing buildings, foundations, fencing, interceptors, drainage, roads, trenching, general excavation and cable ducts. The scope also extends to general building maintenance associated with roof repairs, redecoration, joinery, guttering, glazing, trench cover replacement, door or gate installation and replacement.
