The purpose of this contract would be to support the Council's Voids team with any Major Void refurbishment works. Over a quarter of all Council voids are classified as 'Major' voids which require the replacement of a major component e.g. kitchen, heating system, electrical system, notifiable asbestos removal or structural repairs. This work costs significantly more than a standard void and takes more time. As a result, the Council at times are unable to provide sufficient resource and may seek support from external suppliers to ensure delays are reduced.
