Due to the high-risk nature of the mast lift operations, and the criticality of the lift support systems this has been direct awarded based on the appointed supplier due to their previous experience of the project and working on the successful removal of the Main Lower Mast. The direct award action is justified under the Procurement Act 2023 under Section 43 and Schedule 5, Regulations 7(a)(b) Please note- the contracting authority will issue a future tender requirement to procure metal fabrication contractor(s) for the longer-term requirements of the project.
