The scope includes the overhaul and refurbishment of eight (8) LUST Wagons, six (6) lifting beams and sixty-four (64) pairs of cross and connector beams, together with associated inspection, testing, certification and assurance activities necessary to return the assets to operational service. The contract also includes the repair of damage arising from a shunting incident, the provision of materials, replacement components, spare parts, annual maintenance support and any associated arising works identified during inspections and strip-down activities. The works require specialist engineering, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), lifting equipment inspection and rail asset overhaul capabilities to ensure the assets remain safe, compliant and fit for operational use.
