The requirement includes undertaking vegetation quadrat surveys, feature status assessments, fixed‑point photography and area‑level assessments across peatland restoration sites throughout Scotland. Surveys will be carried out between May and October each year, with an estimated 17 sites in 2026 and approximately 12 sites per year thereafter, subject to annual programme needs.
