This operation receives bulk loads of round logs to its timber yard at Heatley Hall Farm, Rugeley, which are stored until suitable for chipping on site. The chips are warehoused in specially constructed shelters on site for further drying until required for delivery to our biomass heat installations on an as-needed basis. This procurement is for the supply of services to SCC to assist our activity as timber merchant and as a wood chip fuel producer/trader which supplies wood chip fuel. The maximum expected annual volume approximates to 1,500 tonnes of Round Timber. Timber should be sourced within a 60-mile radius of the depot where possible. The haulier must demonstrate full compliance with the The Road Haulage of Round Timber Code of Practice 2020, or any successive document, as published by the Timber Transport Forum. All providers of round timber must be able to demonstrate evidence of a Felling License reference. NOTE: This is the Contract Details Notice for the awarding of the framework and not a call-off contract.
