Completing an Enhanced DBS is a compulsory requirement order to be eligible for a licence. In addition, there is a requirement for TfL's Dial-a-Ride staff to have completed either a DBS or Enhanced DBS check. The DBS is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office, which undertake DBS checks. The DBS has identified umbrella bodies who can manage a DBS check application on behalf of organisations or candidates, as candidates cannot request an Enhanced check directly. ## CPV classification Administration, defence and social security services Source Find a Tender (UK) · Notice ocds-h6vhtk-051af1-2026-02-26T14:46:37Z [View official notice](https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/ocds-h6vhtk-051af1-2026-02-26T14:46:37Z) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
