The Trust subsequently cancelled the earlier abandonment decision and returned to an earlier stage in the procurement process.On 6 March 2026, the Trust took a further decision to abandon the procurement. This decision was taken due to identified flaws in the evaluation process which prevented a fair evaluation of providers, and the Trust’s decision to adopt a revised service delivery model based on Trust-employed GPs.The Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Competitive Process selected for this procurement has been abandoned and a contract has not been awarded. The Trust does not intend to carry out a new procurement process for these services.This process has been abandoned under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
