GMP raise between 1,000 and 1,500 request per year for Medical Evidence to support prosecutions and provide vital evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). GMP are looking for an end-to-end managed service that avoids officers having to deal with over 100 separate medical institutions around the Greater Manchester area, offering instead a single service provider. The status of all requests will be visible via a central portal. The purpose of a managed service is to automate the process from the Investigating Officer, through to completion of the Third Party Material consent.
