The existing area is currently occupied by an electronics laboratory, which will be decommissioned, with all existing finishes and services removed as part of an enabling works package under a separate contract. The new facility will be used to manufacture optical devices which require an ISO 6 cleanroom environment. The devices will be manufactured on the bed of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
