The Service will offer high quality, impartial support and advice to all service users who request an abortion, regardless of age, ethnicity, language, disability, religious or personal circumstances. The services will be delivered in line with current legislation (I.e. Abortion Act). The Provider shall deliver a full package of care addressing and maximising opportunities for contraception, sexual health and mental health needs as well as the actual termination of pregnancy procedure. Contracts awarded to eligible Providers to deliver NHS Termination of Pregnancy Services (TOPS) following the 'Direct Award Process B' as set out in the Health Care Services \[Provider Selection Regime (PSR)\] Regulations 2023. "Direct Award Process B" means the process set out in regulation 8 for the award of a contract without a competition. There are local prices in place for some of the services delivered. Surgical terminations will be paid at national NHS Payment Scheme prices. The indicative contract term is from 01/07/2025 to 30/06/2027, with an option to extend for two years until 30/06/2029.
