[More contracts for small businesses and VCSEs](https://tendernation.io/opportunities/for-small-businesses) ## About this tender The Department requires the expertise of a medical service supplier whose clinical advisors will provide advice on whether applications for ill health retirement under the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) meet the criteria set out in the regulations. A successful service provider will be responsible for reviewing all new ill health applications, including serious ill health applications, as well as first-stage and second-stage appeals. They will also provide a written medical assessment of a member’s current health and/or life expectancy, and make associated medical recommendations on a member’s eligibility, or continued eligibility, for an ill health pension, as determined by the relevant legislation. Our existing contract runs out on 31 March 2026.
