Works in the existing marine life display areas are largely restricted to decoration and heating upgrades. Alterations to the marine life support systems are minimal. A new ventilation layout is proposed with two external plant installations. Much of the front façade is to be removed and replaced to allow a larger building footprint. This also requires roof extensions and steel frame supports. The first floor café features large glazing panels. PV panels are to be installed on two roof areas.
