The successful tenderer will recommission the Hydro Scheme, and enter into lease agreement with the Council, which will include a power purchase agreement, whereby the tenderer will supply electricity to the co-located leisure centre at an agreed price point, via the in-situ Council-owned private wire. The objective of the hydro-power facility, is to: • Generate electricity and supply co-located Omagh Leisure Complex; • To sell-off surplus power to the national grid. • To generate and sell renewable obligation certificates (ROC's) for additional revenue.
