Part of the Mayors responsibilities is to commission services which include supporting victims and tackling reoffending. The West Yorkshire Victim Referral and Assessment service, embracing the concept of: - One point of local contact for all individuals affected by crime, offering integrated, specialist; information, care and support pathways to tailored interventions and a range of assessment and support services for adults and children. - Coordination and simplification of access for victims to wider healthcare, social care, and criminal justice processes to holistically improve individual health and well-being, as well as criminal justice outcomes.
