In order to provide counselling to its staff Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to appoint a specialist counselling provider (the Supplier) to provide a range of counselling interventions. The purpose of the service provision is to: Undertake initial assessment of employees, following referral or self-referral, to determine the most appropriate course of action. Provide any necessary counselling interventions. Provide advice to the council with respect to the wellbeing of council employees.
