The project included the creation of a terminal station building and platforms, a multi-storey car park, with drop off and pick up areas, a public transport interchange, and provision for retail and commercial space. Clearly the aim of DART is to ameliorate passenger interchange between the station and airport terminal previously served by bus, which will not only benefit airport passengers, but improve access and social inclusion, serve airport businesses and their staff, and contribute to long-term economic growth and employment.
