This service will provide signposting and direct referral to the following services: -Primary and secondary care for physical health needs. -Primary and secondary care for Mental Health needs -Primary and secondary care for Addiction needs. Forensic Physicians (FPS) will provide general healthcare and forensic medical assessment of people in police custody/suspects in police custody and complainants/complainers (alleged victims) of crime. An assessment and treatment service will also be required for the 4 prison establishments within NHSGGC boundary (HMP Barlinnie, HMP Low Moss, HMP Greenock and Lilias Community Custody Unit for women) out with office hours (Monday to Friday 08.00 – 18.00) and on agreed Public Holidays. FPS would require providing telephone advice to nursing or prison staff during these hours, or attending the prison to see and treat the patient if required, as clinically determined by the FPS.
