The planned GÉANT Cloud Framework OCRE 2024 (OCRE 2024) tender directly addresses one of the main challenges faced by the Pan European Research and Education community: how to incorporate commercial digital cloud cervices in their work compliant with relevant rules and regulations including privacy and public procurement, and how to find and acquire suitable services. Commercial cloud service providers also find it difficult to reach the education and research community with the right service solutions. The aim of the planned tender is to remove the barriers between the demand and supply side by making it easier for commercial suppliers to deliver their services and for the Pan European Research and Education institutions to procure them.
