We also require ongoing service and maintenance support throughout the life of any subsequent contract. The Plant Growth Room must be almost air-tight so that it can be maintained at a very slight positive pressure with continuous inputs of air containing 13C labelled carbon dioxide, resulting in a slow leak out of the chamber into the surrounding laboratory. The room will be used to grow a range of plants/crops over long-time periods, such that crops, for example, can complete their full lifecycles.
