The Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) is an advisory non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) of the FCDO. ICAI works to ensure UK aid is spent effectively for those who need it most and delivers value for UK taxpayers. ICAI publishes transparent, impartial and objective reviews to support UK government decision-making and to strengthen the accountability of UK ODA. ICAI operates on 4-year phases, linked to the terms of its Board of Commissioners.
