For Extra Care housing, the Council's vision is for quality housing for older people who wish to live independently with high quality care and support services that promote well-being, meet individual needs, lifestyles and inclusive communities. The London Borough of Havering (the Council) is commissioning a Care & Well-Being Support Service in the borough's three Extra Care Schemes for a three year contract (+1 year plus 1 year extension option) with a commencement date of 1st July 2023. Whilst Providers will be familiar with the term 'care' (i.e. refers to the care service users receive directly), the term 'well-being support' widens the work associated with housing related support (further detail in Section 6.3).
