Both local authorities are seeking a provider who would be interested in delivering Independent Professional Advocacy to all eligible adults within Flintshire and Wrexham, regardless of their demographic. The delivery of Independent Professional Advocacy must be in accordance with the requirements in the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the associated Code of Practice. The contract would also require an element of non-statutory community advocacy which would be available to all individuals in the North East Wales area that have a barrier to participation in an issue, but they are not eligible for IPA services.
