The service will support eating disorders as per the ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases – 10th Revision) & DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – 5th Edition), through the provision of evidence-based interventions as part of a ‘core’ service offer. The service will be informed by NHS Adult Eating Disorders: Community, Inpatient & Intensive Day Patient Care - Guidance for commissioners and providers and its appendices and for delivery of interventions as set out in the NICE Eating Disorders Quality Standard and NICE – Eating Disorders: recognition and treatment.
