We wish to establish a multi-Supplier Framework for the supply of railway ballast to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. The framework will initially run for 4 years with options to extend up to a maximum of a further 4 years. The intention is for a number of geographic zones to be established across the Northern Ireland Railway network, with a Primary and Secondary Supplier appointed for each zone. Suppliers may be appointed to multiple zones. The default approach will be to allocate work directly to a Primary Supplier. The Client may also run mini-competitions between all Suppliers on the Framework for larger work packages if required. The project team have set aside some dates over the next 3 to 4 weeks to engage with those interested parties with proven tracked record in the supply of aggregate to railway standards.
