The Council is considering the appointment of one or more appropriately qualified Environmental Health Practitioners or Food Safety Practitioners to undertake official food hygiene and food standards interventions throughout the County of Ceredigion. The service is likely to include: Food Hygiene inspections. Food Standards inspections. Combined dual inspections. Food Hygiene Rating Scheme inspections and rating determinations. Risk rating of food businesses in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice. Submission of inspection reports and supporting documentation. Identification and escalation of any significant food safety risks requiring further intervention by the Council. Providers should have demonstrable experience of undertaking official controls in accordance with Food Standards Agency requirements and the Food Law Code of Practice. Contractors may be expected to provide suitably authorised and competent officers capable of undertaking both food hygiene and food standards work. Interested organisations should contact the Council's Procurement mailbox on to request an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Completion of an EOI does not guarantee participation in any subsequent procurement process.
