The University currently has a number of disparate systems and processes which are used to manage research and its associated information and outputs, including the research bids and awards database, the University of Salford Institutional Repository (USIR), the ethics applications and approval process and Banner for storing PGR student records. Six distinct areas of service have been identified and have been split into three lots.
