The waste streams are food waste, garden waste and co-mingled food and garden waste. Councils in Scotland require service providers to receive food, garden or co-mingled waste and to treat, reprocess and recycle it. This framework is available to all Scottish Councils, Scotland Excel Associate Members and other participating public bodies. There shall be two service models available for use by the councils as follows: - Model A – where councils deliver materials to the Service Provider’s nominated facilities for treatment.
