It was the UK’s first local authority Green New Deal Strategy and sets out Oldham’s ambition to be a leading Council in Greater Manchester, nationally and internationally on the green agenda. The Council sees a role for a strategic partnership with a private sector infrastructure provider in delivering against the Green New Deal ambition and seeks to engage with suppliers to explore what such a partnership could look like. The following document sets out the Council’s initial thoughts and invites applicants to feed back on these initial ideas and explore them further. There will be an opportunity for a round table discussion with the Council to establish the potential scope of a strategic partnership contractual arrangement.
