This area is known as ‘Coastal Cell 1’ in England and Wales. Collectively, these Local Authorities are undertaking the following regional coastal monitoring programme. This will involve the following activities: - Beach profile surveying; - Beach topographic surveying; - Cliff-top position surveying; - Bathymetric surveying; - Sea bed characterisation; - Wave and tide data collection; - Aerial photography; - LiDAR surveys; - Ecological habitat mapping; - Walk-over visual inspections of defences and natural features; - Website updates; - Data management; - Data analysis and reporting.
