[Scottish Government](https://tendernation.io/buyers/scottish-government) Estimated value Not stated Published 25 May 2021 Deadline Rolling deadline ## Who can bid - Open procedure Anyone can submit a full tender; there is no shortlisting stage. ## About this tender The Digital Academy is looking to re-invent the way it delivers training. In response to Covid, it’s currently being delivered using video conferencing and screen-based materials. But there are significant limitations to conventional ‘blended learning’. Online workshops and e-learning materials are in effect digital replications of classrooms and training books, and these are profoundly old ways of delivering learning. They’ve long been questioned by many educationalists, and ignore advances in understanding of how and why people learn, and the potential of technologies such as immersive experiences, VR and AR. There are other limitations to a ‘physical’ approach: a brilliant trainer can only be in one place at a time, so in order to impact across Scotland multiple training sessions need to be arranged. This is not time efficient, environmentally sound, or optimal in a post-Covid world. This Challenge is not a quick fix. Some careful visioning work needs to be done and partners brought on-board. But reimagining and demonstrating world class learning has the potential to benefit every part of the nation’s life: schools, businesses, the whole of the public sector, universities and communities Please visit our website for information on CivTech and how to get involved [civtechalliance.org/civtech-innovation-flow](https://www.civtechalliance.org/civtech-innovation-flow) ## CPV classification Research and development services and related consultancy services Computer support and consultancy services Software programming and consultancy services Business and management consultancy and related services IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support Training and entertainment software package Training software package Training software development services Staff training services Training programme services Industrial and technical training services Source Find a Tender (UK) · Notice ocds-h6vhtk-02b499-2021-05-25T09:15:02+01:00 [View official notice](https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/ocds-h6vhtk-02b499-2021-05-25T09:15:02+01:00) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
