Recognising the severe pressures CAMHS are under, conflicting methods of working, thresholds and priorities between social care and health needs can have negative consequences on accessing the right services at the right time. Cwm Taf Morgannwg Region has a vision of providing a range of therapeutic specialist interventions to children who have complex and challenging needs, these children may present with a multitude of behavioural challenges which can be detrimental to a child’s placement with carers . We are seeking to work with a specialist service provider to help create a collaborative, multi-disciplinary therapeutic intervention service to achieve positive outcomes to children with the highest needs through joint working, robust assessments and a suite of therapeutic option.
