This combined approach has been shown to be highly effective in improving long-term quit rates. In doing so it can achieve these objectives: - reduce the impact of smoking on health of individuals and those around them; - reduce inequalities by targeting groups where smoking prevalence is higher; - protect children from smoke by working with pregnant women and their partners, not to smoke.
