The requirement is for a maritime surveillance capability completely owned, managed, operated and maintained by the supplier but deployed by Joint Maritime Security Centre to any point in the UK Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The expectation is that the selected platform(s) will be fitted with role equipment relevant to the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) role – Radar, Electro-optic turret and marine and tactical communications systems (details can be provided in due course).
